Paypal 'Donate' System Issue

Folks,

We have a couple links on the website,one at the bottom of this page), that allow readers to donate. This uses the PayPal system to receive funds.

10/11/2007 -- Paypal Problem
Unfortunately, PayPal has a MAJOR system-wide failure today, affecting not only donations but eBay and Shopping cart buttons.

I expect this to be resolved within 24 hours.

Meanwhile, if you wish to donate to the site, just go to www.PayPal.com and go through the normal procedure to SEND money to "Mailbox@6mmBR.com" . That should still work. After logging in, click "Send Money" and select Service/Other.

Alternatively, you can make out a check to JASON BANEY, and send it to:

Hopefully this PayPal thing will be resolved shortly.

I agree Pay Pal sucks. They have tried to charge me in the past for something that I knew nothing about and I don't have nor never had an account with those idiots. Bill

I hear you guys. PayPal also is very anti-gun and tried to lock our account until I convinced them we are not selling guns.

We've tried some other solutions for donations,including GearPay payment service). Unfortunately their software just didn't really work well. People were required to set up accounts and provide banking info and then fund the accounts before they could make a donation. That's just no good.

I wish there was a good alternative to PayPal. Haven't found it yet.

I donated $50 about six weeks ago. There was no place to put my name on the Pay Pal form. I had sent forum boss an email about it. No reply as of yet as to whether you got the $. Thanks, Snuggie.
