We go out to a thousand yards. We have back stops for paper targets every hundred yards past 100 to 600 plus 25 and 50 . Then we have steel out to a thousand and a target holder at a thousand. The same with your range past 300 yards last a lot longer than up close. And I bet that golf ball lasts a long time at 400. Lol.Our 100yd and 200yd backstops get plenty of use but we only have about 300 members. The 4'x7' backstop I put at the 400yd line (actually 418yds). It gets a lot less use than the closer targets and will last 2 years before the weather really takes its toll. The hanging golf ball @ 400yds seems to outlast just about everything. LOL
