You do the same thing we do at our club. Our backers are osb board. We have over 700 members and the club get used hard. The backers at 25,50,100 and 200 last about 8 months. They get shot up and fall apart before the weather does them in. It gets really windy at times at our club. We had a storm come thru and literally wipe out the 300 yard line. I watched it on video come down the mountain take out the 300 yard line come across the from 200 to 0 and up over our cameras. It was amazing to watch. Staples and heavier paper and we have no issues. If I could just get people to use 1/4" staples everything would be good.
Our 100yd and 200yd backstops get plenty of use but we only have about 300 members. The 4'x7' backstop I put at the 400yd line (actually 418yds). It gets a lot less use than the closer targets and will last 2 years before the weather really takes its toll. The hanging golf ball @ 400yds seems to outlast just about everything. LOL
