Panda Big Bore rimfire conversion

Has anybody converted a Panda Big Bore to .22LR?

Is it as simple as a rimfire bolt and new barrel?

I love my Pandas, and have thought about this a lot over the years!

IMHO it would be very difficult to do, and logistically a nightmare to load. The forward position of the lug raceway means that you would need to reach way into the loading port with a round - with no loading ramp to help the process.

And as you mentioned, it would require a bolt assembly redesign - without an ejector?

If you figure it out, please post......I would bet there's a small but lucrative market out there for this!

I have thought about modifying different actions ,
I am not familiar with panda actions ,
If a new bolt will need to be fabricated then make it shorter ( the breech face end ) ( a panda has rear lugs ?)
A rf barrel will need the tenon made to fit , so make it like a 40x where it extends almost all the way to the ejection port .
