palma match haulage

I've been shooting mini-palma f-class regularly for a few years.
I'm getting a hankering to shoot a 'real' one.

It occurs to me that I've never shot a multi-firing line match.
I'm accustomed to making many trips from the car to the line.

In a palma match I'd have to get organized, man up and schlep everything necessary in one trip from line to line?
For an f-open rig that's not a trivial task.
I suppose most people use a wagon or cart? I've seen highpower carts but they don't look optimum for a rest and rear bag.
Makes shooting f-open off a joypod sound appealing. :)

After experimenting with various folding wagons (too high center of gravity/ tippy when loaded), I bought one of these; quite popular where I shoot.

As far as the actual schlep, I have done it both ways- park at the ending firing line, and drag cart from line to line, or drive from line to line if there is room to park, and there usually is.

the ability to drive from one firing line to another depends on the club/range. Can't do that at Camp Perry or Camp Atterbury where the nationals are held.

That folding cart shown above is what I used and works great but be careful not to get a flat :)

The Fold It cart is actually the name of what is pictured above. They’re very common on the range. I saw several people puncture tubes. So when I bought one, I got the foam filled tires.

Was just talking to a buddy of mine about that- for $100 you can buy solid rubber tires for that thing. Mine are always leaking!

Dan, They offer them filled with styrofoam. I haven’t seen solid rubber. That would get heavy. Mine actually came with the filled tires in the box. It was just slightly higher in price, because you weren’t getting 2 sets of tires.

It was Longley, so who knows what he really bought!
