padded vise jaws

I know this isn't advanced but I thought i'd pass along anyway. tandy leather corp sells shoe soleing in 12X12" squares. it can be cut with a utility knife or hack saw to makepads for vise jaws. here is a pic. to illistrate.

treeman, simple solutions are the best. If anyone can't find a Tandy store, look for a Leather Factory, they're owned by Tandy Corp. and are like a Tandy store on steroids.

I don't like the rubber or plastic jaw softeners. This is perfect for me.
