That is strictly a rimfire action and bolt assembly. Centerfire has a much larger loading/ejection port and the locking lugs are located at the front. But I can believe Dave told you that based on past experience.

Dittos to the previous two replies - I don't understand why you'd have ordered this action if you were after a CF one to begin with. It's a clone of the Rem 40X 22RF action, which should be fine for a 22LR build. If you're stuck with it - as would be the case, with PTG's no refund, no return policy on made-to-order stuff - it shouldn't be too hard to re-sell it.

Sorry but I don’t see how a centerfire round is gunna work in this. What cartridge are you planning in a centerfire? I mean the the port can’t be more than a 1 1/4” long. Maybe I’m missing something

Are you getting a complete bolt or just a modified firing pin?

Supposed to be a complete bolt. I think a guy could get away with a front 1/2 and pin though

Not really a lot to share until the centerfire bolt shows up. I’ll be pushing 50gr copper solids from Badlands Precision as hard as the system will handle. I know what they do in a rimfire, abs the brass is the weak link right now
