Pac Nor

I am having a new barrel chambered in 6BR for my Savage by Pac-Nor, it is going to be a 28 1/2" 8 twist SS Supermatch in a 3 groove with a 11 deg crown. anyone have a similiar combination, looking for some comments before I make any changes.

Chet, Mine is nearly identical, but 27", 3-groove. Contour is max for the barrel nut, tapering to .93" at muzzle. That's not a specific taper on their list, but they'll build it that way if you ask. The bbl is very accurate and cleans easy--I've never had to even put a brush in the barrel. It has a tight bore compared to some other 6mms. Likes the Lapua Scenars which have a slightly smaller diam. than the Sierras.

It must be Pac-Nor day, I just got off the phone with Penny, ordered a heavy Palma, 8twst, 3grv, 6mm, for a Savage. This is my third PAC-Nor, like the barrels, love the service.

I am going to build a Savage 6 something perhaps in the fall. Either that or a 7mm. However I like the idea of spending less money on powder.

Chet: My rig dons a 28" Pac Nor three groove SM-SS barrel for my Savage. I had it made as a straight barrel 1.055 full length. Just like Moderator said, it cleans easily and shoots very well. Can't go wrong with them.
