Sad to hear, I own five Pac-Nor barreled rifles and have been really happy how they shoot. A couple years ago I had them barrel a REM 700 in 6x45mm. It's one of my best shooting rifles. 80grn BT bullets right at 3000fps.

This is bad news - great that everyone got out unscathed - but saddening. Back in late 1996, when I was looking for 1:18" twist 30 Cal. barrels, to match [for ideal twist] with the short/light thirty caliber bullets, Chris Dichter, was the only barrel maker who listened to my proposal: 6 weeks later, we had GREAT barrels in the lathe, with which, we immediately began winning tournaments, including my first NBRSA Hunter National Championship victory, at the 1997 event, at Raton. NM.
