Details - I had a Savage LH bottom bolt release in need of a stock.
The Arken site said it said it fit Savage long action, and I did not see an option for LH. I have two stocks that were converted for LH, and, to me, I don't mind the second U carved into the aluminum.
I can tell you, it's cut to accommodate both top and bottom bolt release.
The fore-end is very light, and well machined. I have three other chassis to compare it to - MDT Tac 21, MDT LSS XL and (cannot remember the name).
It has much better machining quality than either of my MDTs. The Magpul AICS mag shown fits much better and tighter in this than a MDT. The mag release is well designed and herky. The mag drops free easily.
The only complaint I might have is that the fore-end assembly screws, being button socket head cap screws, look a bit clunky, but who really cares?
The Allen wrenches that come with it are quality, unlike the junk you normally get with pre-packaged sets.
It went together easily. IMO, one of the best uses of $180 I've made in a long time.
Now to select an AR15 grip and a butt stock. I'm thinking I might try a Mapgul PRS for starters.
