Outlier barrels and chassis

A friend of mine has one of their remage barrels. It’s a 16in 308 that is suppressed most of the time, and will shoot 3/4-1” groups at 100yd consistently. I’m pretty sure he bought an arken scope and got the barrel for free last year on Black Friday.

That is about what I seen looking around on YouTube, seems crazy 300-400 dollars (right now) for prefit barrel ready to go. Especially when I just paid 800 for a carbon blank a month ago. Definetly peaks my interest

I just ordered one myself, price was too good to pass up. I figure it can't be any worse than the current factory barrel I have now.

I didn't need any barrels, but I ordered a bare chassis and 15" arca rail fore end.
It's quality. Dropped a barreled action into it. It fits my AICS mag much better than either MDT chassis that I have. Now I just have to mill the one side for a LH bolt.....

Do you have details? What barreled action and specifications? I'm tired of looking at Tikkas, Bergara, Savage and CZ Range for a complete package in left-hand. Target shooting with, hopefully, a 6CM or a 6BR Norma. For fun and lunch to the winner.

Good reviews on YouTube? Just like those Arken scopes? Every GunTuber posted a glowing video on roughly the same day, imagine that... Arken must spend a ton on buying off YouTube people. If their barrels are anything like their scopes, they are mediocre at best....

Details - I had a Savage LH bottom bolt release in need of a stock.
The Arken site said it said it fit Savage long action, and I did not see an option for LH. I have two stocks that were converted for LH, and, to me, I don't mind the second U carved into the aluminum.
I can tell you, it's cut to accommodate both top and bottom bolt release.
The fore-end is very light, and well machined. I have three other chassis to compare it to - MDT Tac 21, MDT LSS XL and McRees Hunter.
It has much better machining quality than either of my MDTs, and on par with the McRees. The Magpul AICS mag shown fits much better and tighter in this than a MDT. The mag release is well designed and herky. The mag drops free easily.
The only complaint I might have is that the fore-end assembly screws, being button socket head cap screws, look a bit clunky, but who really cares?
The Allen wrenches that come with it are quality, unlike the junk you normally get with pre-packaged sets.
It went together easily. IMO, one of the best uses of $180 I've made in a long time.
Now to select an AR15 grip and a butt stock. I'm thinking I might try a Mapgul PRS for starters.

Thank you much, for the write-up. Very detailed and worded well.
