Our LGS just got robbed!

First time I went into an LGS and spent less than what I was planning. Usually end up spending more.

I was there a couple of months ago looking for just a pound and they didn't have any. At that time, they also brought out the 8 pound jug, but I never saw the price and told them I wasn't interested. I was just glad they still had it, but was amazed when I saw the price.

By chance they have 16 n 26 at some price?
If so PM me their phone#.

I don't know. I didn't check prices. I went in thinking I was going to spend the $200 I had in my pocket if they still had the RE-23 still in stock. I'm sure I'll be back in a week or two and I'll check.

I have a new 8 lb. jug of RE-26. I thought it was going to be my go-to after the first pound that shot so well. That was until I got it out in the heat.

How hot?
I just ran some test loads with 26 a couple weeks ago when temps were in upper 90's. I got good groups with it and no pressure signs running from 60-62gr in 06' with 185 vld hunters. H4350 grouped better @.3".
Still wanting to push 180 class bullets up to
2900 fps. Will revisit my tests after new 26"
Barrel is installed after hunting season.

It was pushing 100°, but my work up loads were in the low 80's. I had a load in my Creedmoor at 2840 fps that was bouncing off 2900 fps in that temp swing. It wasn't a hot (pressure sign) issue, just a big jump from one temp to the next. I'd have to look, but I am sure I was able to get into the mid 2900's without any pressure issues. RE-26 can definitely get some good speed without pressure problems.

Here is a C&P from 65creedmoor.com that I made a while back when I was first testing the load.
