They had better have a warrant if they plan to come into my house.
The LEOs know they can't come into homes without a warrant, but the ATF doesn't seem to have gotten that notice yet, or figured it out...

Yep and my point was just because they want to do something doesn't mean they will get away with it. Those Supreme Court Judges are there as long as they want to be, they can't undo that one and Biden calling them names means nothing. As for plans, Trump had lots of them that were shut down by either the courts or congress, the same for Biden he has been shut down as well on many of his wants and I'm sure if she wins she'll experience the same. There's a reason we have three branches. Checks and balances. I'd say the Constitution is holding up well considering the constant attacks on it.
They have been getting away with it for close to 100 years. In the 1920s they started registration, prior to the unconstitutional NFA. Heller outlined how it is done. The another 11 years of unconstitutional BS and Thomas issued Bruen. Here we are 2 years later and still debating what the 2nd amendment actually means.
Many of the lower/inferior courts are trying to say that the 2A doesn't cover military weapons. Yeah, nice try.
The laws are eroding, and yeah, it seems like a long time...but that's how the court system works. Thomas said he wanted merit cases, that way the lower/inferior courts have made a final decision on the case. If it is still unconstitutional, Thomas will most likely rule in favor. It doesn't have to be Thomas, but if a bad merits case is issued, the party can select the Supreme Justice they want to handle it. Wouldn't it be bad if people picked Sotomeyor? The horror of such a thought...that would put case law back about 50 years or more.
If Trump gets in office, I'd like to see home sign an executive order that allow the President or balance of Justices to take another Justice's license away. Ruling on the Constitution shouldn't be so hard, and if that is so, why do we have so many split decisions? Like 5/4 or 6/3, seems the majority of Justices should be ruling the same. They did go to law school, heh? And let us hope that Trump gets in, cause Thomas is most likely going to retire. We need Trump to select the vacant seat, IMO. What if Harris steals the election and Thomas gets ill and retires? The thought of another Sotomeyor or Kagan is even more horrifying to me.

I’ve found it interesting that recently, a felon previously convicted of firearms charges was found to be armed with a firearm in close proximity to an individual that had suffered a recent attempt on his life. The firearm had had its serial number obliterated.
I’m thinking this might be the best example ever that validates the old saying about when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns…
In my opinion, with the world what it is and what it’s going to become, it’s pretty much a fool’s errand to keep focking with the second amendment. Our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will need those arms. Either among themselves to protect themselves or to protect themselves from our country’s enemies abroad, who, if one is paying attention, continue to attempt to expand their borders….
It would be far better to provide viable education and safety training on firearms from an early age. Those that want to own will, those that don’t won’t. But at least everyone is on the same page in knowing how they operate, and how to safely operate them.

The NFA is a house of cards. It always has been. If you read the Miller decision carefully, the Court at that time was saying that Militia/Military grade weapons ARE THE VERY weapons protected by the Send Amendment.
Also, the generation which allowed all the "progressive" policies to be put in place have mostly died off. Notice how we went from almost all the States moving to "Shall Issue" CCW in the 80s and 90s, to now the majority of States being Constitutional carry? It is happening (SLOWLY) with the NFA also.

Although I stay on top of the news. I must have missed this ruling.
I do remember a ruling where a President could not be held liable for official acts that came under the duty as President.
I don't think there is any such ruling, we have the Constitution that proclaims that.
But the current sitting President is violating that very document, and using the Justice system to attack his opponent.
Anyone in CA knows Harris is not to be trusted in regard to the 2A. Recently she made a claim on Oprah's show saying that if anyone enters her house, they're getting shot. It's ok for her, but not for "we the people".
I remember that also, it's in the constitution. I don't know what article/amendment it is in, but it is there.
And also we have other case law that has been in effect for years. The GCA68 is the current definition of a firearm, as used by the Justice system. The ATF is not allowed to make law that pertains to such. The good part for all shooters is that suppressors have a case in the 5th circuit (Texas, I believe). There is a possibility that suppressors may be taken out of the hands of the ATF, and I hope they get rid of the ATF as well. Let's move all those agents to the border. At this point, Biden is pretty feeble, kinda like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons. Just as bitter at that, I might add. Unfortunately, he's not too feeble to steal...
I think it's more his wife pushing his buttons......
IMHO I believe they are looking at a situation where we are at war, President declared the war and a soldier gets killed, you can't charge the president with murder.
Time will tell what that means.

I haven't seen them here either but since you were throwing personal insults on the site I thought... maybe this person is one of THOSE people who think our Constitution is dead and needs to be replaced or tossed altogether. Apparently you are not.
I believe in our Constitution and I do believe it's holding up pretty well considering everything been tossed at it over my lifetime. Sure it's battered and bruised but as recent SCOTUS rulings have shown it's still in the game and very much so. I don't agree with every ruling of theirs, but that's how our democracy works, we can't all get everything we want, there's give and take. Some folks want it all their way and that's currently referred to as the extreme left and extreme right. I'm definitely not in either of those two.

'Not held liable for official acts' How can any criminal acts be official? Go to YouTube to find Judge Michael Luttig, a very highly thought of conservative judge and member of the Federalist Society speaking about "presidential immunity". Most of the most learned legal minds in the country, law professors, constitutional historians etc. were shocked at what the Supreme Court wrote and said the Appeals Court judgement should have stood and the Supreme Court should have never accepted the "immunity case" case. This is very important, please check it out.
You think so? I'll take Thomas over Sotomeyor or Kagan ANY day of ANY week, on ANY case. You might as well just give your firearms up feeling that way about Thomas.
