Ouch !

That's not me guys, from what I can gather the guy was setting up a Dillon 1050 with the mark 7 auto drive and it triggered with his finger still inside the machine.
Hate to hear that, now Dillon will be forced to put a safety access switch on the models. And hopefully they will not face a law suit.

Lockout/Tagout. It works at home too.

I'm never going to the first page of this thread again in my life, though...
Yeah, I can remember the printing plant I used to work at was always trying to get us to remeber lock out tag out. I always thought that was so gay until I saw a good friend of mine get shocked by an electronic board on one of the printing units

Well I'm just glad it happens to other people too. Thought I was doing something wrong.

I hate that it happened. Of course we are all so far removed from the real facts it would do no good to speculate.

I cannot complain about doing foolish stuff. I once nailed my thumb to a plywood box I was holding in place with a small pneumatic pin gun. The thing had a hair trigger and went off while I was passing by. Things happen when you least expect it.

I wish him well and pray for his full recovery.

Wait, I'm confused: What was the distance to the lands? All kidding aside; thanks for sharing this community always benefits from a reminder to be careful. If I could count the number of times I go without safety glasses... well; limit as I approach zero or lose an eye...

They told me to deburr and chamfer as it would make seating easier. LOL But daaammm that must have hurt.

reminds me of the time I was on a ladder, cutting a tree. I had wrapped a safety line AROUND me and the tree, fearing a fall off the ladder. I took rope off so I could reach better. A little more cutting and the tree split. Had I still been in my "safety rope" it would have cut me in half at the hips. The stupid stuff we do...

That likely gives you the chills every time you reminisce about it. I know it would for me!!
