OTM Tactical...?

Did some research ,and as of a year ago, seems they were doing good. Just tried to call and check on stock of a barrel, but no answer. I know with the corona crap, alot of businesses called it quits....Has anyone dealt with them lately? Thanks, rsb

I haven't ordered from them in a year, but was getting e-mails from them lately.
A couple months ago.

I even tried to subscribe to their notifications, but it said page was no longer good, but found same bbl at Widden gun works, so its a non issue...rsbhunter

OTM never answers the phone but I have always had good service ordering from them. Their shipping is inexpensive and fast and their pricing has always been fair.
The website, in my experience, is always up to date of in/out of stock items.
EDIT:
I got an email from them 5-27 with Memorial Day specials.

I recently ordered a 6.5 barrel from OTM, And it never arrived. I called FedEx and they said a claim can only be submitted by the shipper “OTM”, I called OTM and was told since I didn’t purchase shipping insurance that I’m out $429.00…he said sorry that’s how we do business now. So if you decide to take the risk with OTM, I would pay the extra $ for shipping insurance or they will leave you high and dry! If you have to pay for extra insurance with OTM…why not just buy from another source right. Just a heads ups for anyone thinking of using OTMtactical:

First of all, due to the way FedEx does business, the "policies" vary from area to area. The delivery is made by a driver hired by, and working for, a contractor who "bought" a certain territory. Just how far they will go to assist you in these type situations is totally up to that contractor and his employees.
As for OTM, I just received a new Labradar and a couple other items from them and I did notice the change concerning insurance. The working is very clear. If you don't insure they don't refund if lost or damaged.
At least though, OTM should make every attempt to find out just where the package may have gone.
Did you ask them for assistance?

Tombox197, did you ever recieve a Fed Ex tracking #?. It would torque me if Fed ex had possession, lost it,and otm wouldn't file a claim ! They(OTM) wouldn't be out the full amount anyway. Fed Ex I'm pretty sure covers at least the first $100.00 of every shipment, but check first. Second of all, it's totally wrong that we, or OTM have to pay extra for Fed-Ex, UPS. or USPS to "insure" they do their job properly and NOT lose our packages. I would contact the attorney General and inquire about this. While I don't doubt it's legal, it's almost like paying a mechanic extra after working on your car to insure it doesn't break down on you for the problem he just fixed!!!! Ok, my rant is over...rsbhunter

Rijndale has a VERY good suggestion concerning the Credit Card...

Yes I called OTM and spoke with the owner, he said “sorry nothing I can do” so his statement and attitude makes my decision to never do business with OTM again. There’s to many other stand up companies to support in this great country.

Were you provided the option of insurance for your order or did they just blidly send your barrel out?

They obviously have the right to require this, as FedEx won't pay unless it was insured. But, like I said, the shipping companies should have a set fee for insurance. And a reasonable fee. But, such is the world...rsbhunter
