Other Hodgdon powders

Has anyone used either LEVERevolution or Superformance powders in your bolt guns (with good results)? It always seems available but I never see it mentioned much.

Superformance is showing promise in my sons 22-250ai shooting 70vlds. There were forming loads. I don't see why it wouldn't continue to shoot with a full load and formed brass

itchy,
Personally, I've not seen either of the referenced powders listed in any of my reloading manuals or manufacturer's website as suggested loads. And I've not heard either of those powders used by Benchrest shooters in competition. Having said that, your answer may lie solely in testing the powders in your specific loads. Now those powders may produce excellent results in "hunting loads." And that may be why we don't hear much about them in Benchrest shooting. Just my .02 worth which ain't much.

I bought some Superformance to use in my 204. Seems it's not the same stuff they use in their ammo. Now I gotta figure out what to do with it..

I definitely agree that someone messed up when they named he powder the same as the line of ammo. That leads to a lot of confusion for a lot of people.

I tried some LeverRevolution in a couple different cases. Think one was a 6mm Rem the the other a Dasher.

No good.

I have used SuperF in my .260 with about 4 different bullets. As 22dasher said, it patterns like a 12 ga. However, I was able to get some HA velocities. The ES was way high as well. I called Hornady about it and they said it was NOT the same powder used in their SF factory loads. I did get one load of SF and 123 scenars to shoot good enough to hunt with. All exit wounds were ping pong ball sized or bigger.
In Hogdons 2015 reloading paperback there are some loads in the 30-06 using SF, but haven't tried them.
