Looking for info on PDA’s.
I have googled and yahoo’ed and can find a heap of PDA’s for sale but not much info on what you can do with a PDA especially a PDA/phone unit.
AFIK I need a, organiser/accounts ledger book, phone and camera all in one unit but have NO idea if it’s possible.
I’m looking to run my vermin control,shooting) business from my pocket but don’t want to have to lump a laptop and a mobile around.
I want to be able to run word, excel and a business ledger/invoicing system,a cut down version of MYOB or Quick books) from the PDA so when I’m out on site I can do the invoice then and there and sent it to the client via Wireless or e-mail while I’m in their office discussing the job. It’s a service business so I don’t have to maintain inventory as any parts the client needs is purchased and billed per job. Just need to track expenses/invoices and appointments.
I also want a website page that will send me an SMS with the persons details when they fill in the contact us page on the site is that possible?? Those details are added to outlook as a contact and I can get straight back to them with their inquiry.
Is this possible with a PDA or aren’t they that advanced yet??
Is there another option to a PDA that is much, much smaller than a laptop that will enable me to keep my office with me and still be contactable by mobile??
Do you guys know of any retail outlets that have sales people who know about these things not just go here it is take your pick??
I apologise for being off topic so far but the business is a shooting business so I hope you guys understand and can help me out??
