OSHA New Proposal

Here it is in a nutshell : OSHA wants to make ALL Firearms powders & related items the equal of Det Cord & Explosives thereby restricting sales and transportation. BTW, NRA-ILA hadn't heard about this until early this week. Looks like OSHA was flying this under the radar.

AGENCY: Occupational Safety and Health Administration,OSHA),
Department of Labor.

ACTION: Proposed rule.

SUMMARY: OSHA proposes to revise the explosives and blasting agents
standard in subpart H of part 1910. This revision of Sec. 1910.109 is
intended to enhance the protections provided to employees engaged in
the manufacture, storage, sale, transportation, handling, and use of
explosives. The proposal updates and clarifies the regulatory language,
addresses regulatory inconsistencies between OSHA and other Federal
agencies, incorporates updated consensus standards, and provides the
regulated community with greater compliance flexibility.

DATES: Written comments and hearing requests must be submitted by the
following dates:
Hard copy: Comments and hearing requests must be submitted
,postmarked or sent) by July 12, 2007.
Facsimile and electronic transmissions: Comments and hearing
requests must be sent by July 12, 2007.
 
The link to page on the NRA site has sample text and instructions for sending comments to OSHA about these proposed changes Please take a few moments and submit your comments before the comment period closes on the 12th.
 
Due to the high volume of comments ... there has been an extension,10 SEPT). Get your opinion heard. Contact your elected offals ..uhh officials and also add your comments to the Regulation.gov site

Last I checked almost 1,500 comments. We need 10X that.
