Opinions on the delta stryker

I’m looking at the delta Stryker 4.5-30x56mil as I have a cert for them. Anyone have one or can compare it to other optics?

I had one, the glass was better than the Athlon Cronus, but the Athlon reticle was better I didn't like the Delta reticle. Leopold VX-5HD had a little bit better glass but a much better reticle. My Nightforce ATACR is superior to all, also twice the cost.

Thank you, so overall it wasn’t bad optic? Turrets felt okay, ans tracking was good? I haven’t looked into them until I got my certificate.

Is a Delta Stryker your only option? Yes, It's Okay for a $1600-dollar price range. You get what you pay for. If I had a chance to look at a bunch of different brand scopes ( In the same price range) laid out. I would've picked a Trijicon, Leupold, or a Burris XTR3

The delta line of optics are my only option for the certificate. Our prices in Canada make it a little different. The stryker is in the 2200-2300 dollar range, the xtr3 pro is 3500 range, leupold mark 5 is 3500-4200 range, Trijicon tenmile is 3200 so off the hop it’s in a different price range for me. The very drops it down to the 1200-1300 dollar range making it over 2000 cheaper then Burris, leup, trijicon and many other brands.

I have had a Stryker 5-50 for several years. Go ahead and buy it if that is what you can afford. No buyer’s remorse. You can’t beat it in that price range. It tracks well, and the glass is good.

Wow ! That sucks. You'll be fine with the Delta

There are three very different reticles available for the 4.5-30X56. Your Delta dealer should have them in stock. They are all MIL reticles.
I happen to like the DLR-1, most folk like the LRD-1T though.

Delta trijicon bout the same I had a trijicon 5x50and it was boss so the Delta should be a boss, Euro Optic had the Trijicon 4.5x30 tenmile on sale for 1035

Have to be a bit careful with reading reviews on the Stryker, they are on Gen 3 now, which had some turret improvements made on it. I have the Gen2, DLR-1 reticle, bought it in late 2019, Gen 3 came out late 2020, no issues with it, great glass, turrets work fine, tracks well. At the time I got it, it was on sale at Tesro, under 2K. It's a good quality scope. If you have a gift cert for it, go for it. They are worth the money, no need to be afraid. I bought mine without ever looking thru one, was not disappointed in the least.

I looked through one on Saturday. It’s a fine piece of glass and if I had a heavy discount I’d own one.

Thank you everyone, I need a new rangefinder too and was looking at the new sigs but if I can’t get one before my hunt I’ll use the cert to grab a delta 2000 to hold me over (my current rangefinder finally just broke) otherwise I’ll grab a stryker 4.5-30x56 or 5-50x56
