Opinions on CPS action.

What’s everyone opinion on a CPS alv action, for a starter benchrest rifle.

Is it one of the early ones with a pinned trigger rather than a hanger.? I think the earlier ones also had holy on scope bases rather than the integral dovetail.
It’s been years since I saw one. Like a Panda, it features a steel insert in the aluminum body.there was something different about the way they installed the insert, I can’t remember what though.

They are just as truly machined as any other custom action. They just don’t make them anymore.

Jackie. It has internal weaver style dovetail and I’m not sure about a trigger hanger, Bob White has it and I’m gonna contact him Monday for more information I just didn’t know anything about those actions. Thank you for your reply

I know this is a old thread but what does CPS stand for? I have bought a rifle with this action and can't find any information about it. Thanks for any information.

The CPS had a steel insert the full length of the action ,I think.
The Panda has a steel thread insert on one end and a steel pin insert , for camming on the other end.
