Opinions of Tula Primers

I would appreciate opinions on the quality of Tula primers from any of you having experience reloading with them, good, bad or indifferent. The special offered by Graf a second time around has sparked my interest.

My thanks to you.

Last I had read here, they are made in the same factory as Wolf, down to the same shipping labeling and packaging. Can't believe they would make them any differently than tried and true Wolf products (which is to say, the choice of Long Range competitors for best ES and SD loads).
The person to ask is German Salazar!

Those Tula primers have done anything I've ever asked of them, really dont see any difference between them and the Wolf.
The boxes, and lettering they were sent in are exactly the same.
They have given me really low SD's and ES's whenever I cronoed them...

Dittos the above positive comments. The only 'negative' consideration(s) with any of the Russian primers is that they're a little tougher to seat because they're slightly oversize, and the thicker cups on the magnums requires a good firm strike from the firing pin to set 'em off.

I've got a Nesika action with a Davies trigger that will not ignite Wolf LRMs over half the time, but it's almost certainly an issue with this action/trigger combination, as these primers (both large & small magnums) work fine in my BATs, Pierces, M700s, and M70s, as well as in four DPMS AR10s.

Guys thanks for the input.
The Graf site does indicate Tula and Wolf primers are produced in the same factory. I've been a fan of CCI and Federal primers for a long time. The prices Graf shows for both Tula and Wolf are luring along with their special offer of free hazmat and shipping for Tula on a two case order.

What kinda FP projection do you have on that? What's the diameter of the tip?

I've had similar issues in both a T2k and my Gilkes-Ross with the original Murom Plant KVB-7's, never tried the more recent Wolf/Tula magnum products. Usually they'd go BANG on the second hit... but not always. I'll only use those in a bushed-bolt Quadlite now, never had one fail to fire, at least so far.

Frank I have used them all and the Tula's are comparable for a whole lot less money and they are available. I used to mostly shoot Federal GM primers then the cost went out of sight then you couldn't get them. I tried both the Wolfe and the Tula primers my groups have not suffered. In fact I've used them to shoot some of my best ever groups. I'll think about American primers again when their price matches what I have now. They played a game and they lost my business.

Woops. Yep. Powder Valley. My humble apology. No offense I hope.
Worse still, I shot a messgae to German for his opinion as suggested and typed in Graf again as well.
I promise, I wasn't on anything. Just too many distractions and rapidly approaching the half century mark.

Thanks for catching my goof.

Can be hard to seat in some cases, need a good robust firing pin strike to fire(may relate to seating depth, which mayrelate to seating effort). Have used a lot in the past 2 years in all sizes. Excellent accuracy in most cases. A few misfires , all but one in Browning, Savage and one other w/ small diameter firing pin. The other exception was a failure to dent one LP primer in a Ruger Redhawk. Several restrikes, not only failed to fire it, but the pin dimple was barely perceptable. I havent recovered the case and primer to further examine. The other 5 in the cylinder fired normally. Overall with the mentioned exceptions their performance has been a tad better than our domestic product.
