Opinion time please. 20 cal, efficient cartridge suitable for rodents

The die is cast. Found a new VT reamer. Let the good times roll !
This auto correct is for the birds. I poked in VT multiple times before it stopped changing it to TV.

Can't argue against the VT. It's too good. But if you are looking to do something different, a 17 HH (or other Hornet case) necked to 20 cal would do everything you're looking for.

With all that brass a .20 Practical would be my choice. Neck it down load and shoot. It will take more powder than a FB based round, but really easy to do. It feeds like butter in any base .223 rifle. For the range your looking to shoot, any of the above will shine, but the Practical is just more practical!

That it is. Having a small shk Savage bbl in the 20 Prac, it will get its fair share of brass. If/when the 19 dies, that brass will be utilized to boot.

The accuracy, ease of reloading, functionality etc without having to buy $300 custom reloading dies and go gauges makes the .20 VarTarg the clear winner here. For the 100-200 fps you may or may not getting bumping it to a 40* shoulder you've still got an accurate and effective round out to a few hundred yards. Believe me, the rodents won't feel the difference. You've made a great choice. I know I love mine.
