The reason i ask is when you use like a belted magnum follower with say a 30-06 the difference in the case diameters push it down funny and drags on the side of the boxThe folllower spring/bottom metal is from Redhawk, I suspect it's OEM but don't know for certain.
Mentioned that I'd ground the corners of the spring to reduce tension as Wyatt suggests but didn't help at all.
Dusty, the follower comes with the mag from Wyatts, it's still captured by the receiver feed rails (I opened them up .030) and doesn't come up past them.
It slides around pretty freely on the spring, I'll try to stake it in place after I figure out where it's best positioned.
I'll bend the feed lips in a bit as suggested. Guess the obvious is to make sure the case can't pop through with the follower spring tension, looks to be enough engagement with the bolthead that I can push the case a bit further down into the mag without affecting the push feed. Hopefully that'll do it...
