Opening a chamber??

I'm a long time lurker and have a question for you guys.
I shoot mainly rimfires as don't have time to play with my CF's.

I have a 22RF bbl with a tight match chamber and want to open/Lengthen
the chamber to handle CCI Mini mags with out so much force on the bolt.
This is for one of my Finnfires - The existing chamber is tight even for match ammo.

Can I hand ream with a Stinger reamer, checking often til I get the desirede amount
of bolt thrust) and if so what is the exact procedure..

Sorry for bein such a rookie

I would venture a guess that you could indeed do it yourself. Most likely, it is the leade that is "tight", engaging the rifling when you close the bolt. The body may be minimal too, but I think it wouldn't be a problem to run the reamer in by hand, using an extension.

My experience with rimfires is limited to one, my own gun. But doing what you ask for a center fire could be done, so I see no reson it can't be done for a RF.
