Open to the public rifle ranges In Fort Worth area.

I am travelling to the Fort worth area for CHRISTmas and was wondering were there was a good open to the public range in the area. I am looking to break in two new shooters while I am there.

Also wqould like to know if there is any hog hunts by the day in that area cheap??????

On the south side of Ft. Worth is Alpine gun range. http://www.alpinerange.com/

I used to shoot there all the time, until I joined a private club. It's usually ALWAYS busy. While the range is set up OK for rifle shooting (18 or so benches) the benches are wooden top and 3 legs, so they are not really benchrest sturdy. If you are shooting AR's and or tactical off bipod, you should be fine. The pistol ranges are a little better with room for 5-8 shooters per distance.

I can not help you on the hog hunts.
