There are many things that have hurt people that came from PG&E, the first that comes to mind for me is the town of Hinkley California in the Mojave desert. The movie Erin Brockovich was based on it, that is just one of many things done to the people of that state by this company. However it isn't just PG&E it is also the PUC regulators who were supposed to be monitoring them, either way the people of California were hurt or died or had their lives ruined by this state regulated company.
