One shot always high left?

Had this problem with .308 it turned out I didn't seat my action to my stock well enough. Took the action and barrel out of my b&c stock then put it in have it a good bump tighten down and shoot cleaned that problem right up.

Assuming you are using Consistant ammo, try to eliminate the human factor.

I set up my rifle on a Sinclair f-class bipod and a rear bag such that when I don't touch the rifle, it stays on target. I snuggle up, relax and "untouch" the rifle and if the sight picture stays the same, then I get back into position and touch a round off. I have my triggers set light so not much interaction with the rifle.

If you still see an issue, I would look at bedding issues.

Also fgregorio's tuneing recommendation is new to me, anyone have experience or opinions on/with this?

Well my current rifle is in a chassis, so I'm not sure I could bed anything on it. I wonder if I shouldn't take it back out of the chassis and make sure the action is bumped back like mentioned and the re torque. I torqued both screws to 65in lbs per the manufactures recommendation. Is there any particular order I should go in when torqueing the screws?

Don't know what cal. you are shooting but if it is .22 rimfire it's not you. Unless it happens with every group. During the summer we have 100 yd. egg shoots with some pretty good bench rest rifles. Half inch groups at 100 are not uncommon but just about every rifle will have a flyer on the first shot. We have five warm up shots because of that problem and also the wind conditions. Makes for a real interesting and fun shoot. Hope you get it worked out. You're on the right forum.
