It amazes me that people don't "get" it. And I understand your comment to be based on the following. Sorry if I misrepresent your point.
When I hear people talking about what kind of person a politician is, and how much "homework" they did on them, I just kind of scratch my head and wonder if they have a clue.
In the US we are in reality a two party representative republic. Call it anything else and I don't care, the fact is that only two parties run the show.
At the end of the day you either support one party or the other through your action. All the rest is claptrap.
FYI- for those who believe even remotely that election fraud influences national elections, don't think for a second that it matters who the GOP candidate is. Who the candidate is just makes people feel good ...apparently.
Politicians like Biden and Fetterman prove the figurehead doesn't really matter.
This is another reason why Dems win regularly. Their supporters vote for their party platform and members whether alive or mentally incapacitated. While GOP supporters seem to look for people to like?
Until very recently (and I'm no spring chicken) I believed the paradigm we live in pretty much the same as you described.
Recently, especially with the election outcome, I began digging deeper into this nations
history for some answers and what I found was very disappointing to say the least'
Here are some of the historical facts that I found:
In 1711, Wall Street was set up primarily as a Slave Trade market in New York while
we were still under British Rule.
In 1776, as we all know, The Declaration of Independence was signed freeing this
nation from the bonds of British Rule and sovereignty and also recognizing that
human slavery in unnatural.
Our Founding Fathers set this nation up under a system called "Common Law" or "Natural Law" which is also known as "The Law of the Land" where individual citizens were 'Sovereign" with "Certain Inalienable Rights" thus a Republic.
In 1788, The Constitution
FOR the United States was ratified into Law by Congress
and the "Certain Inalienable Rights" of each individual citizen were further clarified
with the first 10 Amendments known as "The Bill of Rights"
FOR each citizen.
That went along with 5 additional Amendments to The Constitution being added
until 1871.
In 1871 EVERYTHING CHANGED!
In that year THE UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA (notice all caps) became a
CORPORATION
and that is why any document you receive from the government has your name
in all caps. Also, for legal reasons to form the
CORPRATION, the word
"FOR" In the
Original Constitution was changed to
"OF" in the new
corporate document which legally destroyed the old for the new.
We went from a "Common Law" nation, a nation of Free Sovereign Citizens to a
nation under "Admiralty Law" or "Law of the Sea". Furthermore, we all became
corporate assets/commodities, to be traded daily on Wall Street. (The Slave Trade).
In 1902. Birth Certificates were first issued primarily as proof of an asset/commodity
to be traded on Wall Street and in 1936 Social Security numbers were first issued for the same reason.
Washington DC is a one square mile area that is OWNED by the
corporation and anyone
that works there is either a
corporate officer or a
corporate employee working for the
good and profit of the
corporation....not for who you thought.
I totally agree that it is "All for Show" by primarily the
MEDIA, to "Divide and Conquer"
as the old saying goes.
So...do you think we still live in a
Republic?
