one ppc barrel, fireforming.

Fire forming shots don't bring the body out to a tight fit, and shoulder diameters of reamers are pretty similar. The only issue would be headspace. What is the difference in the neck? One way that I fire form involves using .22 caliber bullets. If the neck diameter of your forming barrel is smaller than the barrel you are forming for, this might be for you. If this applies. PM me, and I will walk you through it.

Thanks for the reply. Both necks are .262. So, really shouldn't make much difference for that first shot, at least.

Don here is another thread on another board talking about barrel break in but if you go to the bottom of the thread there is some interesting info about using pistol powder and barrel break in.

Vern - thanks for the tip; yes, I was following that other thread, too, and found that particular response very interesting. I just might try that here soon with my old fireform barrel and the new barrel/gun (once my new Lucas bore guide comes in!). Don
