One mile plus spotting scope

The current king of the hill is the Zeiss Harpia 95. Don't take my word for, just go and compare. Some come close, but none exceeds it's performance for image quality at 70-72x. The Meopta S2 is an excellent spotter, but misses the blue ribbon when compared to the Zeiss Harpia (painful to purchase...highly comforting to look through and own). There are several great spotters, but very few will do what you are looking for, as you are asking for phenomenal resolution, at extreme distances, in multiple environmental conditions.

while i agree the zeiss is a great scope, i currently shoot 2000 yd group and score, i can see clays clearly at 2000 yds with my meopta s2 82mm.

Swaro BTX is the best I have ever looked through. Comfortable for all day spotting without eye fatigue. But they are spendy...

I honestly don't believe a $4k-$8k spotter is needed to shoot/spot ELR. They are a luxury, not a necessity.

Running a tsn 883 with 1.6 magnifier this weekend at 600 yds. Could clearly see paster outlines on sighter target.

Just a thought, I don't know how good it would work....how about just a good old-fashion telescope? If you can see the man in the moon 200,000 miles away surly you could see some bug holes at 1 mile?

The older Kowa model TSN 823M
Which has fluorite Glass combined with a quality HD Wide angle or zoom Lens an excellent option that woint break the bank.

Don't know about viewing at the distance you are speaking of.

Not the best glass, but I picked up one of these at an auction ($50) and have used it at 200 yards with good results

Do you have the WA eyepiece, or standard with the higher power...70X?
