One Inch/30 MM Convertible Rings

Has anyone invented rings which are 30mm diameter as manufactured OR -- 1" diameter with inserts. Or am I the first and only brilliant guy to think of this. Seems like it would be easy to do, and a great way to add versatility to a ring set. jd

Ive seen a bunch of them but they were usually cheap taktikool type rings like from nc star.

Oh and the amphicar was a car and a boat. A fish and ski is a bass boat and ski boat. Both of those examples can be used for 2 purposes and neither one will do both well.

Simple to make having made50 sets for varios 30mm and russian made scope mounts.

Is their a market? Yes, small, most people who use 30mm tube scopes stay with them, but, if you have a few sets of inserts and 30mm rings around you may play with adapting smaller tubes, but who doesnt have a spare set of 1" rings?

If you desired to you could even bush 30mm down to 7/8" or 3/4" tube scopes.
It would not look any dumber than a 30mm scope on a CZ 527 or .22LR.

I have used Badger Ordnance 30mm to 1" reducers, they have been around for years now.....

I've used a set of plastic inserts that work good. Temporary till i could upgrade scope, 300wm worked well for hunting season

Well, thanks to allayas for the replies. Kind of nice to know that I could easily slap a one inch scope in my 30mm's.

I also find it kind of odd that more mention isn't made of this on our forum. Some things we discuss incessantly and repetatively -- others not so much.

For instance I haven't yet seen a thread discussing the effect of Viagra on long range shooting. -- Or short range for that matter. jd

When I shoot 1k I always rub crushed Viagra on my bullets. Its nice to have the added come up built into the bullet!
