"One At A Time": Remington Arms short documentary (1969)

I happened to catch this short documentary (a Remington advertisement from 1969) on C-Span American History TV. Pretty interesting how much computer aided manufacture (CAM) was already in use at the time, but with a lot of hand fitting and finishing. The transfer from film to video was not a high art whenever it was done, so the video is pretty grainy, but still worth a watch. (Run time 27m 35s)

Just saw this last night. Your recap is right on.
I was amazed at the amount of hand work and at the same time all the computers
employed-old school, programed on tape and then moved by hand to production machines.
Good watch if you get a chance to see…

Neat! My first center fire at 15, in 1975, was a BDL with Leup 3-9 vx something. All my buds chose 270's, as that was the rage, but I was an early studier of ballistics and chose what they all considered an oddball, the 280 rem.

Been a long time since I saw that. Jimmy Stekl is a good friend, both CFBR and RFBR. Still crushing targets in his 80’s.
First serious woodchuck gun I got @ 14 was a 700 ADL IN 22-250.

He must be a great shooter if his 742 beat Mike Walker's 700 that day. Ever ask him about that?
