omega auto trickler

I was perusing the new Sinclair catalog. Actually, I was skimming, and saw the omega auto trickler. Has anyone tried it out yet?
Good, not so good?
Thanks

Re: Little dandy auto trickler

Woopsie. I had dandy on the brain. I meant the omega auto trickler by dandy products I believe it is.

It will take a little bit of a learning curve to get the hang of which way to have the base turned and how far to move the counter balance on the tube.

Mine will not be going anywhere anytime soon. The RCBS trickler I had been using, has been disposed of, and has yet to be missed.

Of all my reloading equipment the Omega is some of the best spent money I can think of. You will not regret the purchase if you but one.

Dave

I would absolutely not be without mine! like already mentioned it takes a bit of learning and each powder is different but there is no comparison with any other trickler IMHO!

I use the 2 speed trickler. And it is great. Set my charges to throw just below and only have to drop a few kernels to get powder to within a single kernel. Very easy to use and speeds up the loading process IMO

For a few bucks more, get one of these. It does it ALL at once: http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=rc98923

I have one of them and its not even in the same league as the dandy product. Mines a 2 speed, one or two kernels on an accurate balance beam checked with a gempro 250. I checked my balance beam with the gempro a couple of times and it has been right on each time. The rcbs has never been right on sometimes as much as tenth and a half off. Just not near as accurate as the beam and dandy. Great product.

Love my 2-speed model. Makes load (thrown in a Harrell's) adjusting simple & fast.

Only mod I made was to cut the supplied discharge tube short then slip a Culver's (restaurant) plastic straw section over the end. Otherwise I'd get "clumping" of larger powder kernels that made one-at-a-time a little frustrating.

Been down the rcbs route. I switched to the dandy trickler either with my sartorius or my beam. Es and SD are excellent. I just picked up the auto dandy but have yet to test drive it. If I didn't care about low es and SD, I would happily reinvest 300 on a less accurate product simply for ease of use. But, that doesn't fit into the equation at the moment. I will let you all know how the auto version fl works out.

2 speed only, love mine...get one and don't look back brother! I use mine with a parker tuned M5 and could not be happier.
cheers,
doc

This thing isnt even in the ball park with a GD 503 and a 2 speed dandy, I have the rcbs and for loading a 3030 or something like it it is great but for long range precision loading it won't cut it.
