OLDER WILSON TRIMMER?

jonbearman

I live in new york state, how unfortunate !
I have a Wilson micrometer trimmer on their stand. The micrometer is an older starrett barrel which was either from Sinclair or maybe directly from Wilson. My question is the micrometer stem, did it have something on the tip to make a flat for the case to butt up too? If you could post a picture or two,I can make one unless you know where to get one if available.

There is definitely a cylindrical piece on the end. Check their website for an image. It is about 3/8" diameter and 1/2" long as I recall.

Jon - My Wilson micrometer trimmer has a flat face which bears against the base of the case. Thought all of them were made this way.

I also have a very old C&H trimmer which is a dead nutz duplicate of the original Wilson. Some Wilson shell holders are too wide for virgin brass, they go too far into the shell holder before making stop contact. I went to the hardware store and bought small washers - smaller than a case head, and epoxy glued them onto the original head. Works great, now no problem to trim brass.
