Hi.
I have an older luepold Vari x 111 8.5x25x50 scope model Number 51622 30mm tube and side focus.
Anyone know anything about them?
Did they originally come with friction adjustment? It doesn't have target turrets but appears to have been sent to the custom shop for 1/4 moa clicks with "coin slot'' adjustment.
What does the parallax dial down to?
I have an email to leupold but still waiting for a response. Trying to figure out if its legit or not.
Glass is decent enough, wish it had target turrets.
Thanks,
Eric

I have two of the earlier VXIII 8.5-25 scopes. Both of mine have target turrets and 1/4 min. adjustments. A faint "click" can be felt while adjusting. I have used them from 100 yards to 800 yards and they both track well and parallax adjustment has been good throughout the distance stated above.

Cannot verify if mine are the same model as yours since they and the boxes they came in are at another location.

If I am not wrong, all Vari X 111 scope have clicks.
I have a few of the them and they all have 1/4 min clicks. The target turrets are covered up by caps. I thought they all had target turrets. Mine all have the features you listed, but are called LRT's which stands for long range target. Matt

I have a 6.5-20 vari -x iii and it had click adjustments similar to the ones that the current VX2's have. Sent it into Leupold and had target turrets and the Twin Spring Erector System installed and it tracks 100%. There is a huge difference between the TSES and the basic click system.

You can call the Leupold custom shop and give them the serial number and they can see what your scope has or if it has been upgraded. Being that your scope is side focus I would guess it has the TSES.
