old style remington 700 trigger

I am buying a new Remington 700 old style trigger for a stiller tac30 and i am wanting to know what kind of pull weight i can expect "realistically/safely" i can set this trigger to? I am hoping for 2lb. This will be a tactical type rifle and i think 2lb is plenty light. Will there be any springs in this trigger that i can replace to help me get a 2lb crisp trigger pull? thanks Lee

Install A Shilen.
Much better than a modified Remington.
You have spent good money on action and I guess barrel. Now add the heart to make it beat like it should.

King is right, the old Rem is a good 2.5 trigger but has none of the absolutness of a custom trigger.

spend another $150 or so and dont look back

TIMING the firing pin will ensure consistent trigger function no matter what trigger group is installed.

A D.Holland pull weight spring is a nice drop in option if you don't have other means.

stick with the Rem trigger.. get a spring kit ... like maybe this..
