Depends on if you have special needs and need a custom barrel to accomplish that.
I was faced with that situation a few times as most long-term shooters eventually are. In a few cases, I re-barreled because I had a specific need that wasn't available on the commercial market. In other cases, I just sold the rifle and replaced it with something that was more useful to me.
Unless you have a specific need, I would consider a Tikka replacement. It's hard to imagine a better choice for the average shooter or hunter for out of the box performance.
PS: I would not spend the money for a custom barrel unless you are prepared to spend the money for a bedding job if the current rifle doesn't have a quality bedding system. It would be like putting the cheapest tires on a top-of-the-line new truck.

You did not list the chambering. If it is a popular hunting chambering, and the crown is not damaged, I would probably clean it up and sell it. It can probably be fully adequate as a deer hunting rifle if it can put 3 shots inside 1.5" or so at 100 yards.
It used to be that you could find a Remington take off barrel at places like CDNN. I just looked and Remington parts have dried up, no barrels to be found. I guess the answer to your question needs to be, "What do you want to achieve, money in your pocket, a hunting gun, target gun?" give us some clue as to what the outcome will be that makes you smile. I changed a barrel on a Remington and headspaced with several recoil lugs of different thicknesses from PGT, it can be done without spending big money.
