Old NIB 16ga Shotgun Help

I've been gifted a Remington model 1100 in 16 gauge from my in laws for helping them move. He won it 30 years ago and never shot it, I don't think it has ever been put together. They want me to sell it and get something I'll use. So what kinda value does a NIB 30 year old shotgun have?
Thanks in advance.
James

I don't know what the price would be, but they didn't call them Sweet Sixteen for nothing, what a great handling upland game gun. However, I will be a friend and give you $20 sight unseen along with paying the shipping and FFL. Seriously, if it were me I wouldn't sell that gun. Good Luck on your decision and great in-laws you have. I'll volunteer to help them move next time!

As rare as 16 gage was in that era I would bet people trying to get a collection of all the gages would pay a premium. I was gifted an old 16 gage Ithica sxs, and I think i am going to fix it up a little and shoot it. But it is far from NIB. Look and do some research before you sell or shoot it. It may be worth more than you think. Good luck!!!

#1, that shotgun is worth a good number of pennies. Get an appraisal on it for a true value. But if you don't need the money or really don't want to keep it, I would keep it and add to your shotgun collection.
Those 16's were known as "Sweet Sixteens" for a reason.

A Sweet 16 is made by Browning not Remington
