to your original question re effect on ghogs...i had too many target bullet go through so i started hollowpointing berger's match bullets in .22 cal, 6mm, .25 cal and 6.5 mm. terminal ballistic were FANTASTIC! some ghogs exploded but most have little or no exit wound...total dumping of energy in the animal. vlds can be hollowpointed but take a bit longer while the standard bullet drills out quickly. there is a lot of jacket material removed leaving a very thin layer that collapses as soon as it enters the varmint. a titanium coated 1/16 or 3/64 in bit goes through the j-4 jacket easily.
