Ol Rem 788 22-250 gets a Crow today!

Those are some great shooting, practical guns. My dad has one that’s rides in the Polaris all the time and it looks like hell but it will shoot. It got pretty dirty and wouldn’t chamber a round, so I cleaned it good and shot a 3 round group to check zero. Stacked all three shots in one ragged hole. There’s a reason they’ve become treasures

This rifle has been in my family for decades. All kinds of game have been taken with it over the years.

I bought my oldest son one on 1990. It's the only deer rifle he has.
He killed his first buck with it and this morning at 940 am est he killed his best buck.
A really good 9 point With 10" g 2s. We live in the swamps of south east ga so deer dont get like Kansas or south texas but this was a dang good deer for us. I am as proud as he is.
And all from his 1979 Remington 788 308. He redid stock and I load him 175 gr berger vld. A deadly combo. Very accurate stock rifle. I'm dying to put s decent trigger in it but dont know if anyone makes one.
