Ok to substitute 250 Scenars for 250 SMKs?

I have the Sierra load data for 338 Lapua 250gr SMKs and Re-19 powder. Is it ok to substitute 250gr Scenars for the SMKs using sierra's load data? I can't find any data on Scenars except with Vihtavuori powder,obviously not available). Thought I would ask.

Bound to be close. Most load data is careful on the litigation side anyway.

Yes, you can. However, as with any component change, you'll need to start low and work back up as pressure signs dictate. There's several other powders that will also provide outstanding performance in the 338 LM, all of them worth a try. I've had very good results with H1000 and used that as my standard QC test load for many years. Might also want to try their Retumbo, as it's developed a pretty good reputation in this cartridge.
