Hi Guys,
I just started reloading for my .338 Lapua Magnum. So far, I've been using the OAL recommended by the manuals for the various bullets I'm trying. They're either 3.680" or 3.681".
Next, I'd like to try seating the bullet off the lands. I have determined the COAL for the
few different bullets I have (Sierra MK 250gr., Berger Hybrid OTM Tac both
250gr. and 300gr. and some Scenars 250gr.) using the Hornady OAL guage
on my BA110 .338.
So, where should I begin? How much off the lands should I start with and what is the stopping point? Any other advice/info would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Mark
