Ditch the level. If your setup is so bad you need it, you have bigger problems to work on.
Thanks. Yes, they also have bottom readers.
Knoblock shooting glasses. one lens for shooting and other eye with close up lens for reading level, with a flip up eye cover to shoot.
OK, since you asked, this "Old Fart" wants those who hate the second amendment to cease their constant propaganda against lawful gun ownership, the demise of those irresponsible felons who give the many responsible gun owners a bad name, eye site to shoot another year even if I need some help, and permission to buy 2 or 3 more guns.Ok....what do the Old Farts want for Xmas besides new underwear?....and permission for one more gun.

Thought I would fit a bubble level to my new to me F-Class rig. Switch barrel 6mmBR / 284 Winchester Barnard actioned 30" kreiger barrels.
So my 66 year old eyes ain't what they used to be and i use 1.25 reading glasses for up close stuff which would explain why the bubble level no matter where I hang it on the picaninny is a blur.
I don't particulary want to wear glasses when using the scope but I can't think of another way. I tried the 1.25 strength lense which didn't help so would need to go up in power but what does that do to the reticle and distant target picture?
Recommendations please.

My 72 yr old eye's suck (when young, my vision was great at better than 20/20). Now I need bifocals and have early stages of cataracts (too early for doctor to approve lens replacement). So, when shooting I don't use my bifocals, but put on glasses that where I can see my level (and maybe be able to read some things at the right distance). When not shooting, I switch back to my bifocals. Yeah, it's a hassle.
The power you use when looking through a scope really doesn't effect anything as you adjust the rectal clarity with the ocular lens. The rectal will not change unless you move the scopes power ring. As long as you get the rectal nice and clear (whether no glasses at all or what magnification) it not going to have an effect on what you see. So, using the rectal for distance adjustments will not be affected.
OK, who's going to tell him.
