Have you heard, or read any threads on using this product for cleaning your brass with! I remember reading about it some where, but I can not find it again!

Thanks

Steve,
I found this on the high road forum this is not my formula, I personally would never ever clean my brass in a ultrasonic cleaner. Best of luck to ya.

Kafko Oil Eater at a 3:64 (six oz./gallon) dilution works great for me, I run 'em at about 120 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-30 minutes but it may work with less time...? YMMV.

I think Costco still sells the stuff.

Wayne, what do you have against ultrasonic cleaners, and have you ever had one.

I have a vibratory tumbler, a wet tumbler with SS media, and a sonic cleaner and prefer my sonic cleaner. And a sonic cleaner does not peen the case mouths or leave media in the flash holes.

The hotter the water in the sonic cleaner the better it cleans. Meaning a good heater in the unit greatly aids cleaning. I use dish washing soap and lemiShine and it cleans very well.

Below is a .44 Special case that was wet tumbled for less than one hour. The case was trimmed before wet tumbling and did not have peened cases mouths. This is why I switched to a sonic cleaner, if you wet tumble you should trim and debur after each wet tumbling to get rid of the case mouth peening.

Ed,
Yes I own one. What do I have against them?..... well let’s see,..... no match let me reiterate no match has ever been won with clean brass!.... it looks impressive but it has no bearing on group size however neck tension and consistent seating force does win matches and when you clean all the carbon outta the neck you have squeaky clean surface to surface contact which caused high and inconsistent neck tension . Yes you can use dry neck lube but it’s just not the same imho. I use 0000 steel wool on the outside neck and shoulder and I don’t give a damn about the rest of the case as long as it resembles brass. Your pistol cases look good as née best of luck to ya my friend.

Dear Wayne

I hate you, your anti-ultrasonic cleaner posting has 5 likes, and my pro-ultrasonic cleaner only has 1 like.

But now the whole world knows you have a set of dirty brass balls.

Always enjoy your posts Ed and to each there own lol.

P.S I liked your post so let’s see if there’s a new trend in your favor buddy!... if not I’ll start a new post calling in favors from all over the world liking your post so ya don’t get your ultrasonic feelers hurt ;)

calling all cars!..... calling all cars!....
Ed needs a like my friends
