Loved the 10/44, took my first deer with one back in the stone age.Probably. I have an old Ruger 44 Carbine. It’s perfect except for it’s limited capacity.

Why a 44 magnum?Shoulda been a 44 Magnum, in my humble opinion.
I used to like Boomers. I’m getting older and don’t have the muscular frame I used to, so I like smaller boomers. Also, I used to shoot a lot of 44 Magnums in a pistol. I’m sitting on 1800 reloads in 44 Magnum and 44 Special. Yup....I want to buy a gun because I have the ammo. Why a 44 magnum?
That makes sense. I have a Model 29 with a 6" barrel and I won a Marlin level rifle in 44 mag. I didn't see any real performance increase so I sold the rifle.I used to like Boomers. It solves legal issues for people in some areas because it does not look like AN AR. BTW wood is more expensive today.Checked it out...the price is outrageously high for what would appear should be less than half of the asking price with the cheap appearance of this rifle. It has some good features Ike a variety of mags it will take...but ya have to pay extra. And it doesn't have "the assault rifle" appearance.
But I can put together a AR for a lot less...and I like the AR appearance. So it's a very solid no for me.
How about their new 360 straight wall cartridge...we have the 350 legend. Didn't bother to check it out as It is of no interest to me...but others may want to check it out.

Mine has the 8 3/8” barrel. Funny that it was my carry gun 40 years ago. I still have the shoulder holster I used. A product of Dirty Harry movies, I’ll admit. That makes sense. yeah but..It would make sense to me that they would have made the action big enough to do 40S&W 10mm 45ACP and 44 mag. Ideally maybe 2 different sized receivers to make rifles an all those pistol chamberings. Maybe they have but will not release them until they are ready to.
900 plus is a big step up from a marlin camp 9 or 45 at about 200 ..back in the day.
maybe it will drive up the price of our old guns

^^100%^^ For those of us who cast our own bullets, the 9mm doesn't eat into the lead reserves nearly as much as the bigger bore toys. Plus the shear amount of cheaper ammo on the shelves for 9mm vs almost every other chambering.I understand the suggestion, but I think 9x19mm was the logical first choice. I don't think people will use this for hunting or defense at all. It will be something to take to the range for plinking, or perhaps training with novices. Shooting 9mm lets a person shoot the same ammo in both rifle and semi-auto pistols. That simplifies things, particularly for those who do not reload. The 9mm chambering also helps the gun be approved for indoor ranges. And let's not forget that 9mm Luger is WAY less expensive than .44 Magnum
But as noted I see this more as a fun gun that will be used for paper and reactive targets at relatively close targets. Despite our "mission" here at AccurateShooter.com, if you go to any public range on a weekend you will see most people shooting a big targets at relatively short ranges. And the low recoil of this Henry will be appreciated by the owners.
Honestly I see this a just a plinker step up from .22 LR rimfire, and that's not a bad thing at all.
