Off topic: Really old wheel. What's it for and who wants it? Site donation!

:eek:It’s a prototype mariner’s wheel for the new F class “RRR” (Rat Rifle Rest). The rest is made specifically for the 20mm FatRat cartridge on the 4 mile range. :D

not that it matters, but I wonder what the wooden spokes are supported by on/at the rim.

Blast it, spray rattle can - paint the metal bright red, hit the spokes w 80 grit paper, spray urethane em, armor all the tire. 3 hours.
sell for $475. take $375. take the mrs to dinner & buy ammo w the change :).

not an offer :) But it would look really good - finished - to the right person. And it needs a story. That might be Bonnie & Clydes spare that flew off near Joplin, MO. If you look closely you can see where a gmans .45 hit a spoke.

That's it! By golly, that's a great idea! The farm was called Starvegut Farm. As the story goes, George Washington and his army spent the winter on our farm and nearby Chadds Ford. It was a raw winter and food was scarce! They ate the whole car except for that wheel!! Maybe a Snowflake that doesn't know his history will buy it!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:o_O Alright! I'll work on a better story.

I’d have it appraised before you give away the family fortune!

just don't start a bidding war. I can see where this is going...

Wheel IS a piece of history.

My house - found a 5' 2-man saw + an oak handled sickle in the shed. The 2 man saw, I'll you, if the guy on the other handle is stronger, you'll find out real fast. Sharpened the sickle, held a great edge and cut a field with it.
Had a Kubota but using the sickle in the grass at twilight one summer, the best ever.
Save that wheel.
