Off topic Dogs Let's see your pets

I'm a complete sucker for hound dogs. My two "new" girls, sisters Lily and Ruby.

My two girl hounds shown earlier, Rose and Lucy have since gone to the Rainbow Bridge. Just can't have an empty house without a couple of hound dogs about. Seems gun guys are also dog guys.

Rick, your Lily looks a lot like our Chloe. I'm with you on hound dogs! I was hoping Chloe would rub off a little on the Shepherds. It has gone the other way, I'm afraid.

The lab with the camo vest was our best dog ever. Great hunter and pet...she died suddenly last month at 8 yrs old from a ruptured tumor in her spleen..we are still heartbroken . The other lab is a puppy from same blood line. The Jack Russell loves to go deer hunting with me. Only weighs 10 pounds but there’s no doubt among the other dogs who the boss is!

I love seeing the GWP photos above. They've been my favorite dog for nigh on to forty years now. This fella was one of my favorites, and you can see the time stamp on the pic.

Here is my latest little gal, and time stamp on this pic would be 8/12 20 I think. It's obvious that I haven't aged a bit.

As far as rescue dog vs specially bred, I don't care what YOU get. Just treat them right and enjoy one of the greatest gifts that God has given us for this life.

If you get a puppy you are hopefully looking at about fifteen years of great companionship. Why cheap out at a time like that. You are also looking at around two years of destructive behavior that will sometimes make you want to take them to the pound. THAT'S when the thousand or more that you paid will pay off, and you'll probably keep the dog.;)

If you love and are owned by a dog, my opinion of you goes up automatically.jd

My Eva girl. Got her second hand 8 years ago from a family that said she was to vocal. They neglected her. They left her tied up in the yard.

She's about 50# of muscle. Loves everyone until you make one of my kids scream then it's game on.

In her younger years we had to run her with the four-wheel she would maintain 20 mph for well over a mile

That's a stout pup you got there! He's going to have his own gravity when he's fully grown. They're both beautiful.

Thanks! The new puppy is the nephew of the adult dog. Same breeder.

This is the first one we got back in 1994. Jake was the do everything dog. Catch a frisbee, jump through a hoop, fetch the paper, balance treats on his nose, perfect recall and perfect heal off the leash among many other skills. He understood without having to be told. Cried like a baby when he died. We've never been without a Lab since.

My bird dogs. Gun Nut 1

Got some revenge on those chukar did ya? :) ;)

I edited by adding the original pic by @Gun Nut 1 . It just didn't make any sense without the pic. You also have to first understand that the first time you go after Chukar (the 7 birds left of the pheasants and mallard) it's for FUN! After that it's for REVENGE! A lot of vertical usually in getting these birds.:)
