Off firearm subject: Will Rat Trap kill a squirrel?

PS, When the squirrels or mice walk out onto the dowel to eat the peanut butter, it will swivel and they will fall in. The antifreeze does two things, one it lets you keep this up in the winter in unheated spaces, but also it is more humane to the varmints and kills them faster than just drowning. BUT. don't then try to eat them. ;D

Hi rkittine. That is a take off on the Turtle trap that farmers use in their ponds, I used to make them for farmers. They do not work on squirrels, at least in my area.
However the swivel trap as they are called are great on catching turtles.

I think I am going to try a Have-a- Heart model 1084. I have to do something!!

I have no intention of releasing them, I'll pop them in the head with an air rifle while in the cage/trap.

I'm also going to try fredhorace77 method of using a 2" PVC pipe to see if they will store their/My nuts in the pipe. That would be a great alternative if it works. Unfortunately I won't be able to see till next year, they have already wiped out my whole crop!

If anyone knows of any traps our whatever (that really work) I would really appreciate all comments.

Don't even waste a pellet. Just drop the trap in a garbage can 1/2 full of water. Permanently waterboard the little varmits!
