Oddball Savage Target Action

I have a Savage Target Action that the loading port hole measures at 2.600 inches. I called Jim at Northlander who sells Savages Target actions, he says there is not a Savage Target action with a smaller port, they are all the same at 3.4 inches. Any guidance is very much appreciative.

It COULD be a Model 12 action. There are some flaoting around that have no magazine hole in right/right that I know of. 2 X 4.4 bolt spacing?
