OBT Question

OK Guys, What happens to the OBT node calculations when you have a 5" sight extension tube epoxied on the end of a 29" barrel?
The shock waves would be traveling the full 34" length (and back) but bullet exit would be at the 29" hmmm..?

Recently added a bloop tube to an otherwise good shooting Anschutz 22 looking for an extra edge and turned my 1 inch-at-a-100 yard gun into a 6 inches of constant vertical gun.
Couldn't get it off fast enough. Tried 6 inch and ten inch bloopers and both threw the gun wildly out of tune.

Others have had the opposite experience with other rifles so it's unique to each gun like loads, tuners, muzzle breaks etc... you just have to experiment and see what yours prefers.

The shock pulse is caused by propellant pressure and would only be relevant within the contiguous barrel. The presence or absence of an extension would not affect the pulse timing. It could, as in2deep observed, affect barrel harmonics.
