OAL differences between the 6.4x47 and the 22/250 derivitaves???

Hi what's the Oal difference btween the 65x47 L and all the different 22/250 derivitves???

Have a psare 6.5 barrel that I'm wondering what to do with- maybe get it made into a 6.5x55 hunting rifle??

Need to know If I need a 225/250 magazine or a 308 ength magazine for the Tikka 595

The 6.5X47 case is .040" shorter than the 22-250 case but because you will be using it with the long 6.5 projectiles and the case does not taper like the 22-250 the 308 mag would be the one to use.

PS the cases should be in Australia in July.

Hi Patrick
We will have a 6mm 6.5X47 Lapua reamer in a few weeks to suit a close fit no turn neck and 107-115gr bullets. For dies a 6mmBR seater should work but we have not tried yet and for a sizing die Redding will make Type S Bushing full length sizing dies in 6.5 justy change the bushing to 6mm and go for it.
